So yes this happen I was getting everything together and I dropped my powered sugar jar and it went everywhere. To top that off I got a chewing out by a two year old for my mess I made. Cash came in there looked down at it and said "what did u do !!" It was the cutest thing he wasn't happy with me. It took me forever to clean it up because I couldn't stop laughing.

I used a whole package of fondant and colored it with my teal gel food coloring.
Wilton makes what they call a ribbon cutter which is a life saver when you want the perfect line and you need more than one it comes with a bunch of different sizes so it was great to do the lines foe this cake.
To make my cake look weathered and like it had been used I took a big fluffy brush and dusted it with cocoa powdered and the lines I did with editable makers.

The Walking Dead Cake

The Walking Dead Cake Its October which means two things its my birthday month and The Walking Dead comes back on tv !!!! I didn't become a fan of the show until the third season was coming on and I discovered it because they were have a marathon and I wanted to see what all the fuss was about. Well lets just say after a couple of episodes I was hooked and loved it and since then haven't missed an episode. So when the season premiere came on last year and Negan was to be revealed I made my first Walking Dead cake which has been my biggest hit on youtube so far which deserves it own post because its an awesome cake. So for this cake I decided I needed a little bit of each side to be represented on this cake. The Brain with the blood on it, is in the center which is a walker brain, then I made Lucille, Negan's bat sticking out on one side and an arrow coming out beneath the brain for Daryl.  Link to my video on this cake:   https://youtu.be/QET61WVFIw4 I had t...

Thanksgiving 2017

Thanksgiving 2017 This year for Thanksgiving was really laid back and not stressful of course my cooking was cut in half. The only dessert I cooked was pecan pie no cakes!! But to be fair there was only five of us and one was a two year old that only wanted mac and cheese.  The Chef is in!! I couldn't believe I got him to set still for more than one second and got this great picture of him he loves to be in the kitchen with me and wants to help. I have let him help me ice a cake and small stuff like that and he loves it. The start of cornbread dressing this is a must at Thanksgiving and Christmas at our house. Sweet Potato Casserole Of course my only dessert Pecan Pie which is a much bigger deal if you  know how I am about my cakes but we wouldn't have eaten them with just us, maybe a slice or two but the rest would have gone to waste. I forgot to get a picture before everyone dug in so I had to get a quick one before it was...
